Gathering together is when good things happen
There is just so much to be done before Thanksgiving. Some people are finalizing travel arrangements and packing suitcases while others are thawing out turkeys and looking for grandma's stuffing recipe.

Hood ready to tackle another cycling record
I have always had a thing for Superman, especially when he saves people in such a totally calm manner. As he catches the person falling off the building to a certain death, he glows with a mixture of compassion for the situation and a confidence that he can save the day. Then he sets the person down and flies away to another rescue without waiting for a reward.

Recycling day will help decluttering projects
At least once I year when I go to my mother's house, she has a box of things for me. The things were happily stored in a closet in her house until she found them and decided they needed to be returned to me. One time, it was all my high school yearbooks, dried flower bouquets and dance ticket stubs.

Many will sleep outdoors to help homeless
As Halloween approaches, we take delight in being frightened for moment by a ghoulish mask or a dangling spider. But there are some people dealing with a fear that is very real and far from spill-tingling fun. This is the fear of being homeless.
